Synopsis

This text is designed to support trainees working with young children as learners, in identifying strengths and areas for development and helping the reader achieve the professional standards for the award of QTS. About the Author

Cathy Hamilton, Susan Haywood, Karen McInnes and Jill Williams all work in the Primary team in the School of Education at Bath Spa University College. Cathy is Head of Primary Education, Susan is the co-ordinator for the Primary PGCE Professional Studies course and Karen and Jill share responsibility for a range of early years courses. Sammi Gibbins taught in a large multicultural primary school in Newport, South Wales, leading the nursery team for ten years. She is now working as an educational consultant.
