This is the 6th edition of The Hidden Places of Scotland which has been fully updated and contains a wealth of interesting information on the history, the countryside, the towns and villages and the more established visitor attractions, but it also focuses on promoting the more secluded and little known places of interest and places to stay, eat and drink.

James is a full-time writer living in Scotland. In his varied career James has a wide experience of writing which has included a series of booklets about Scottish Clans and online guides to cities such as Glasgow and Cardiff. Concentrating mainly on travel nowadays, his articles regularly appear in many UK newspapers and magazines. James has also broadcast for BBC Radio Scotland and is a member of the Institute of Public Relations. Though he has written about many parts of the world from personal experience, James finds that writing about the UK is still the most stimulating and rewarding.
