About the Author

Sara Hopkinson is the co-author of the RYA Book of Navigation Exercises and the RYA Competent Crew^ Practical Course Notes. Hopkinson is also author of Fernhurst’s VHF Afloat and VHF Companion. She is an experienced sailor, a Yachtmaster Instructor and Examiner, a corrector of Admiralty charts and a part-time Coastguard. She is uniquely qualified to give students an accurate but sympathetic introduction to the wonderful art of navigation.
