Synopsis
Toby Bear loves to visit his friendly aunt, Nana Bear, but on one winter day he finds her at home and feeling very unhappy. Nana Bear’s beloved parrot, Lottie-Dot has flown out the window and disappeared into a snowstorm. Toby, Nana, and all their friends go out looking for the parrot, but it’s nowhere to be found. The days pass, and Nana remains sad. As Valentine’s Day approaches Toby decides to cheer Nana up a little by making an elaborate Valentine. He makes it from bits and pieces of every kind of paper that he can find and on Valentine’s Day, he carries it off to Nana’s house. Wiping away her tears, she gives Toby a hug and smiles as she examines the bright, beautiful Valentine. Looking at it more closely, she makes an amazing discovery. Has she found a clue that will help her find her parrot, Lottie-Dot? Here’s a beautifully illustrated and gentle little tale that kids will return to over and over again.
