Born in Brittany, and steeped in the breadmaking traditions of France, Richard Bertinet has been baking for most of his life. He has consulted for international companies and in 2000 he set up The Dough Co. He launched his own cookery school, the Bertinet Kitchen, in 2005 in Bath, England. He has appeared on BBC, Channel 4 and Carlton television.
