The reference points are clear and concise with many lovely photographs. Shirley certainly knows her stuff and this book really is the only one you will need for walking in Madeira. It is just the right size for taking with you and even if you have no intention of going anywhere but the nearest sunbed it's still a wonderful read full of interesting facts about this picturesque and dramatic island.
