Michael 'Mouse' Morris, third son of Lord and Lady Killanin, began his career as a jockey until a devastating fall led him into training where he has been prominent ever since. This book takes the reader through his unsuccessful school days as a troubled teen, to his early days as a jockey, and his many stories in the world of horse training, including his role in the infamous Gay Future affair. Despite little money or business skill, and a preference to train quality rather than quantity, Mouse has trained an impressive list of big-race winners, most notably War of Attrition in the 2006 Gold Cup and Hear The Echo, a winner of the 2008 Irish Grand National. Jockeys, trainers, owners and stable lads express a rare fondness and respect for Mouse and Mouse himself speaks frankly of his wild ride on the racing rollercoaster.
