Consulting Editor Thomas J Dimitroff specialises in structuring and negotiating complex cross-border oil and gas transactions. He worked for BP plc for 10 years as a member of the core negotiating teams that delivered the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and South Caucasus pipelines. Since leaving BP, Mr Dimitroff has worked on a variety of large-scale cross-border oil and gas pipeline developments and upstream acquisitions on behalf of project development companies and private equity funds. He has advised governments in complex oil, gas and related infrastructure negotiations, and has provided global extractive companies with comprehensive assessments on social impact and governance risks.
It is a truly interesting and entertaining book for those interested in international energy projects. --Kim Talus, Editor-in-Chief, OGEL
Overall this book is an excellent exposition of the risks surrounding major energy infrastructure projects, and would be a useful addition to the reading list of anyone who is involved in the design, construction, operation or financing of these projects. --Craig Jones, Sullivan and Cromwell, Global Energy Review
For the lawyer, it will give specific insights into the differing approaches of clients who are investors and will be of immense value in increasing their knowledge on the wide range of issues surrounding risk in energy infrastructure projects. --Raphael Heffron, Lecturer in Law, Stirling Law School, Construction Law Journal
