About the Author:

Raghu Rai was born in 1942 and has been a photographer since 1965. He was nominated to join Magnum Photos by Henri Cartier-Bresson in 1977. His Photo Essays have appeared in TIME, LIFE, The New York Times, Newsweek and The National Geographic. In 1992 he was Photographer of the Year, USA.
