About the Author
Professor the Physics of the Oceans (Oceanography) at the University of Potsdam. He is a member of the Wissenschaftlicher Beirat Globale Umweltveränderungen (WBGU, scientific advisory panel on global environmental change) and the American Panel on Abrupt Climate Change. He is also one of the main contributors to the 4th IPCC Report. Katherine Richardson is Professor Biological Oceanography at the University of Aarhus (DK) and Vice President of the European Environment Agency.
