Synopsis
The watercolourist Cecil Rice has a passion for light, colour and atmosphere; a passion which finds expression in his remarkable paintings of Venice - perhaps his best-known works. With reproductions of 120 watercolours, this volume contains many of the Venetian paintings, but also demonstrates Rice's fascination with the light and architecture of places as far-flung as Egypt and the Sussex coast, Brighton's West Pier and the lake palaces of Udaipur.
