Review

An amazing book about an incredible aircraft. Well researched with info on all marks and some great photos. I got this for my build of the Airfix 1/24 mossie and it is certainly proving very useful for extra details and getting things right. As said in a previous review there is nothing model related ; I didn't expect or want this. What I wanted, and what this book provides is a fascinating insight into the mossie. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the wooden wonder. --By Mr. A. Moore "Andrew"

An interesting book that combines diagrams photographs. Almost all of the photos have come from a mossie that's being restored rather than wartime photographs. In some, they've had the foresight to include a ruler so that it would be possible to gauge the actual dimensions of the item photographed if the ruler wasn't so over exposed that the divisions aren't visible... The book includes 1/48 scale plans, some camouflage and markings pictures and some other internal view diagrams that look like those in Mosquito Manual (R.A.F.Museum). The really useful thing is that many of these internal view diagrams are backed up with clear colour photographs of the same thing. --By Mr. S. Crook

This book is ideal for any one wanting to information on the structure of the aircraft i.e. fuselage details, wing details, wings, control systems, undercarriage and standard armament. The plywood/balsa/plywood skin structure is not detailed; door and access panels etc are shown. The wartime usage comprises 12 pages of which 7 pages are side camouflage and 2 are top views. There are 8 1/48 scale plans that include rocket rail details. For a super detailed Airfix 1/24 scale Mosquito the get this book. In general the book complements the MAP Modellers Datafile book format --Olga Federkevich
