Synopsis
The Show's Pageantmaster, Dominic Reid OBE, and publisher Third Millennium are creating a special record of the lavish display witnessed every November in the City of London. Experts are contributing pieces on everything from the Show's history and significance of the customs through to the representation of the Show in art and literature. Sumptuously illustrated, the book will present a wealth of material from archives, private collections, and the holdings at the Guildhall and the Museum of London, and will also include specially commissioned photography. Contributors include: Melvyn Bragg, Dan Cruickshank, Dan Snow and Nicholas Vincent.

About the Author
"Dominic Reid has been the Pageantmaster of the Lord Mayor's show since 1993. He was Director of the Royal Society s 350th Anniversary Programme, the first Executive Director of the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, and is currently Managing Director of the Invictus Games. In 2004, Dominic was awarded the OBE for his services to the Golden Jubilee and to the City of London. "
