Cassandra Ellis is passionate about quilts; for her they are storytellers – ‘the absolute summation of homes, families, communities and individualsâ€. In this book her projects draw inspiration from 25 traditional designs from around the world, each given a contemporary spin. Along with photographs and full instructions for making the quilts, Ellis writes about the history and significance of each one, from Postage Stamp quilts using tiny scraps of fabric, to Album quilts, made communally to mark special events.
