Originally published in 2004, The Naked Guide to Bristol has been fully revised and updated for its 6th edition. Bristol is changing quickly and The Naked Guide team have included all the latest food and drink openings as well as new features on the University of the West of England, Bristol’s craft beer tradition, the arrival of MetroBus and the new foodie quarter at Cargo and Cargo 2. And of course the book has retained its alternative view of the city, celebrating Bristol’s counter-culture as much as its traditional heritage.
The book is divided into three sections
1. A detailed area guide to central Bristol from BS1-BS8
2. An Up Close feature section on Bristol music, history, children’s Bristol, architecture, politics and more
3. Fully revised listings for pubs and bars; eating out; best breakfasts; shopping; culture; media; sport; nightlife; events and gay Bristol.
The Naked Guide to Bristol is the leading guidebook to the city. Its alternative and often irreverent view of the city has proved particularly popular with students and people relocating to the city who want a crash course on the origins of the ‘Bristol Sound’, Banksy, street art and the counter culture hotspots such as the People’s Republic of Stokes Croft.
Not all guide books are the same.
