Book 1 of 6: The Inspector Knowles Mysteries
Synopsis
A dead voyeur, a dog with a trophy, and a tangled web of secrets, lies, and scandals lie at the heart of a mystery in the sleepy hamlet of Goat Parva.
The Goat Parva Murders is the first novel in a British detective fiction series following Detective Inspector Colin Knowles as he unravels small town scandals and mysteries alike in the sleepy English countryside around Goat Parva.
It’s just a typical Tuesday night in Goat Parva, a typical English country village where the local pastimes include more than just bird watching and dog walking. In this sleepy hamlet, the stalkers in the rhododendrons are busy watching the exhibitionists in the windows. It’s a typical Wednesday until Bingo the retriever trots out with a pair of shoes belonging to the village’s most notorious voyeur, Clem Shapiro.
Enter Detective Inspector Colin Knowles, a detective tasked with unravelling a tangled yarn of affairs, long-held village secrets, bitter rivalries, and a growing mountain of suspects. Can he find Clem’s killer before they strike again?
This is a must-read for fans of the dry wit of British police procedurals, humourous whodunits, and small town murder mysteries.

About the Author
I was born in Leicester. I attended school in Yorkshire and university in Liverpool.
My sense of humour is distilled from The Goons, Monty Python, The Fast Show, Brass, Fawlty Towers, and Midsomer Murders.
From the Back Cover
The Goat Parva Murders is the first in the Inspector Knowles Mysteries and introduces the reader to a cast of eccentric characters that could have escaped right off the pages of a Tom Sharpe novel in search of mayhem, mischief and murder. This is an English Murder Mystery with a good sense of humour thrown in amongst the murders and suspects.
From the Inside Flap
This is an English Murder Mystery book set in the countryside and stars two policemen who have been working together for a few years and get along really well. There's lots of dialogue and banter with some humour thrown in amongst the murders and suspects.
