About the Author

Rio is a self-love and self-healing advocate who has spent the past ten years encouraging women and men alike in finding the power of who they are. During her time of being home-schooled, she wrote a piece in her local newspaper about finding hope living with chronic illness. It was then that she fell in love with the power of storytelling, and went on to study creative writing (BA Hons) at Birkbeck University. When she isn't writing poetry, you can find Rio with her head stuck in a book, recording for her podcast or spending time baking in her family home, that she shares with her husband and daughter in east London.
