About the Author:
Kristina Bentley is the senior research officer with the democratic governance and rights unit in the department of public law at the University of Cape Town. She is a coauthor of Racial Redress and Citizenship in South Africa. Laurie Nathan is a research fellow at the University of Cape Town and the London School of Economics. Richard Calland is an associate professor in the Department of Public Law and the director of the Democratic Governance and Rights Unit (DGRU) at the University of Cape Town.
