Cheryl Bruder's book My Mezeppa is a wonderful story full of drama and suspense and it has heroes where you would least expect them. My Mezeppa is a compelling story about Randall Hurst, a horse breeder and trainer for a therapeutic riding center that she also supports financially. Challenged by disability since birth, she lives in her own self-contained world of routine and familiarity. But on the day that Randi s colt, Mezeppa is born, it marks the turning point where both her and her companions are confronted with many frightening new challenges.

Growing up in Ontario, Cheryl has always been passionate when it comes to her life and her family. She also has an immense emotional attachment to horses and has been riding and working with them for most of her life. Cheryl donated her first horse to a local therapeutic riding facility and volunteered for a short time. It was then that she became inspired to write this story to bring attention to the value of these types of programs.
My Mezeppa is one of those stories that becomes more intriguing with every page you read. I was gratified to find that My Mezeppa is a real on-the-edge-of- your-seat nail biter! --Kelly Bowers of The Rider Newspaper
My Mezeppa is an intriguing book, like so many other horse stories, but yet so different. The description on the outside of the cover to tell about the book's story line. It doesn't do it justice. Anticipating a quirky horse tale about the heroics of a horse, I was immediately taken in by the unique and descriptive characters and the evolving story in My Mezeppa. The characters could quite easily be identified with so many barn-folk, yet the addition of some glamor, and some very true reality, made this book a joy to read. I think every adult that loves horses can relate to this book and the tale it tells in one way or another. I found myself several times comparing situations to that of something similar here on our farm. Cheryl Bruder did an excellent job in writing this story. I can hardly wait to read more from this author. Her ability to make it real worked for me. My only problem with the book - I really didn't want it to end. I wanted to read more - maybe a sequel? --Equine Niagara News
My Mezeppa incorporates mystery, drama - and natural horse-keeping. Follow the lives of several intriguing characters as the common thread of horses weaves their futures together. --Equine Wellness Magazine
