About the Author:
DJ and music journalist Denise Benson has long mixed beats, words, and ideas. Benson has engaged diverse audiences as a radio host, having produced the respected Mental Chatter program on CKLN 88.1FM for 21 years (1987-2008), and contributed to a variety of CBC Radio shows, including the seminal Brave New Waves. A freelance journalist since 1995, Benson has written extensively about electronic music and nightlife for publications including Exclaim!, and as a columnist for EYE Weekly and The Grid. She has interviewed hundreds of influential international artists while both contributing to and chronicling Toronto's dancefloor movements.
