About the Author

Carolyn Rawls Book was born in Bladen County, North Carolina, mving with her family first to a farm in Penderlea and later to Raleigh. The rich oral tradition in which she was raised provides the background for her Between the Rivers novels and for the legend of Aunt Mag's Recipe Book. She lives in Cary, North Carolina.
