Review
We were introduced to Ruby Payne s Learning Structures and shown how it would benefit us. We began immediate implementations and saw immediate positive results. We developed a uniform problem solving plan called RIDS which we employed this school year and will use in coming years. She focused in on our needs and those objectives we were struggling with. As a result, she designed and tailored a plan of action to address specific problems and frustrations we encountered. As a result our Math TAKs scores showed tremendous growth. It is my opinion, that without the assistance of KAF and their inclusion of our teachers in the planning process, we would not have been able to attain this success. We continue to make steady and significant gains in our instructional skills and methodologies through the knowledge and expertise of Ruby Payne. --Kendra S. Franklin, Chairperson, Math Department
