Synopsis
Scott Sutton's latest craft book expands on the knowledge and skills presented in his first book, Beadwork Techniques of the Native Americans. This volume presents eight new beadwork projects in which Scott includes personal,little-known tips that he has developed from his extensive experience.
Each item has easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions that are accompanied by full-color photographs and detailed illustrations. Projects include medallions, belt buckles, barrettes, loom-beaded belts, scalp feathers, flat fans, moccasins, and small dance bags. Each section contains information on selecting the necessary materials, tools, and supplies.
Both novice and experienced crafters are guaranteed many hours of pleasure creating these beautiful Native American objects. Beadworkers can use their new skills to produce other items or create their own designs.

About the Author
Scott Sutton beaded his first loom piece when he was six years old, which was the beginning of a life-long passion. As a teenager he joined the California Indian Hobbyist Association, where he studied under great beading teachers,such as Jerry Smith and Corrine Fry. By the time he was 17, he had attended numerous powwows (singing and dancing) and had begun researching beadwork techniques in museums. He has completed over 100 craft projects, and his beaded moccasins are worn by numerous powwow dancers. He and his wife are members of the White Wolf Singers in their local community in Oregon.
