For over 60 years, American National Treasure Everett Raymond Kinstler has been upholding the rich tradition of narrative painting that extends back to the easels of the greatest American Academicians. We are proud to announce that this book includes many of his masterpieces and iconic works that are a true legacy of our times. But these pages are more than a showcase of exceptional art from a living master, they are a testament to Kinstler’s passion for art and its power to make a difference. · Throughout the text, artist readers will identify with Kinstler’s dreams, goals, challenges, insecurities and triumphs. · Kinstler recounts his experiences as a freelancer painting covers and illustrations. · He tells about the great times he had creating the Zorro comic books. · Read about his humorous episodes and interactions with important and flamboyant figures, like Salvador Dali. · Enjoy Kinstler’s descriptions of painting American Presidents and their First Ladies. · Be privy to previous images, photographs and letters from Kinstler’s archives Louis A. Zona, Director of the Butler Institute of American Art, said, “Kinstler’s landscapes, interiors, figurative work and still lifes rival any work past or present in those genres. If art intensifies life or, as St. Augustine said, ‘to sing is to pray twice,’ then Ray Kinstler’s canvases are truly painted prayers which pay homage to the astonishing beauty in God’s universe.”
