Lisa Elliott holds a finance degree from Indiana University's School of Business. She worked as a bond trader from 1987 to 1995. Since leaving the bond market, she has concentrated her efforts on parenting and writing. She and her husband, Mike, live in Indianapolis with their three children, Charlie, Clark and Elizabeth. Clark was identified as having Asperger Syndrome in 2000. In 2002 while writing Embarrassed Often, Ashamed Never, Lisa returned to school to get her teaching license from St. Mary of the Woods College. Lisa continues writing and speaking to raise awareness about autism and Asperger Syndrome.
