RACHAEL BAREKET lives in Melbourne, Australia, with her husband and son. Born in New Zealand where she trained as a marine biologist, she moved to Australia in 1995 to work in the environmental field. Rachael currently works at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University as an educator in environment and land management, designing and delivering training programs. Rachael’s background as an educator prompted her to research and write social skills activities when her son was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome at age 4. Playing It Right! reflects her family’s experiences in coping with a child with autism spectrum disorders.
