The first way is describe according to alchemical symbolism, the second one penetrates the ascesis according to the divine Eros embodied in the philosophy of Plato and Plotinus, and the third way is based on what the Advaita Vedanta calls A-sparsa, the way of non-support. These three "ways" to realization do not exclude each other but often intersect and integrate in a harmony whose vibrations depend on one's own approach to the Opus, on one's own energy, on one's ... Fire. The "Pathway of Fire" is not a new teaching nor a syncretism of doctrines, but the universal "Way" to the realization of our Essence.

About the Author

RAPHAEL is author and Master in the Western Metaphysical Tradition as well as the Vedanta. For over 35 years, he has written several books on the pathway of Non-duality (Advaita). He has also translated and commented a number of key Vedanta texts from the original Sanskrit. His entire work is a conscious reunification of Western and Eastern Traditions into Unity of Tradition. Founder of the Asram Vidya Order, Raphael is now dedicating himself entirely to the spiritual practice. He lives in a hermitage connected to the asram and devotes himself completely to a vow of silence.

If you raise your eyes to heaven you only see the splendour of Fire. If you turn your eyes towards the earth you only see condensed Fire. If you look within yourself you see only whirlpools of liquid Fire.

«"Oh Yama, you who know the Fire which leads to Heaven, reveal it to me who am full of faith". "I will teach you that Fire, oh Naciketas, that will raise you up to Heaven. Know that Fire is the means by which to attain infinite worlds; It is their very foundation and is hidden in a secret place". Then he revealed to him that Fire, the source of the world».

... Which are the fires holding the radiant mercurial Fire under the sway of individual expressions?

Three powerful fires force the King and the Queen to sacrifice; they are:

l) the fire of desire-emotion-passion

2) the fire of sexual creative energy

3) the fire of self-assertion and of self-expression in the form of the psycho-physical ego; this is the shadow created by the qualities of the Dragon. ...

... Therefore, we have to transform the three lower fires into the three corresponding upper Fires:

the fire of egoistic desire into spiritual Will and ardour for what is on High that coincide with the Universal Law, with Order and Harmony with the Principle;

the sexual creative fire, dominated by the Dragon, into intelligent and cognitive creative Fire, dominated by the Logos;

the fire of self-assertion and of selfish expression must become Self-realization or Knowledge-Awareness of oneself as Universal Principle or Sulphur.

... As an encouragement I wish to remind you of this: «Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours». (Mark: XI, 24).

If you are able to fly directly towards the "I am that I am" without becoming any longer, if you are able to fix yourself in this consciential state without hesitation, without fear, without conceptual or emotional discursiveness, then True Alchemy tells you that you have come back Home and you may at last recognize the fact that up to now you have been an authentic God in exile and not a simple "flame puffer".
