About the Author:

Elizabeth Ring grew up in Rowayton, a small, waterfront town in Connecticut. Formerly an editor on the staff of the magazine Ranger Rick, she now writes, visits classrooms and libraries, and walks in the woods with her dog. She has written Loons at Northwood Lake for Smithsonian's Backyard. Elizabeth lives in Woodbury, Connecticut with her husband, writer/photographer Bill Hennefrund.
