About the Author

Bo Wang (b. 1967) received his Ph. D. in Philosophy from Peking University in 1992. He is currently the chair of the Department of Philosophy and the director of the Center for Daoist Studies, both at Peking University. His specialty is the history of Chinese philosophy, Daoism, and Confucianism.
