Synopsis
Violinist Vartan Manoogian was working on an ambitious project when he unexpectedly died in July 2007—sixteen CDs that would include a concert version of the complete Trios-Cosmos as well as “music-minus-one” versions that would serve as pedagogical tools for aspiring violinists. While his students intend to complete this work, this recording marks an interim release and a glimpse into the project in progress.

About the Author
Vartan Manoogian was a world-renowned concert violinist, recording artist, teacher, and author of the four-volume Foundations of Violin Technique. He was professor of violin at the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Music from 1980 until his death in 2007.
