About the Author:
Mark Maynard has been on the staff of The Independent since 1975, first as a sports writer, then sports editor, and now managing editor of the daily newspaper in northeastern Kentucky. He has covered many significant sports events in the area over the past thirty-five years and has won more than fifty writing awards from the Kentucky Press Association.Teamwork is his second book. He also authored Mark My Words, published in the spring of 2010.Maynard and his wife, Beth, live in Ashland, Kentucky, where they raised two children.
