About the Author:
Ray C. Stedman (1917-1992) was a pastor, teacher, author of numerous books, and a well-known Bible expositor. A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, Ray served 40 years as pastor of the Peninsula Bible Church in Palo Alto, California, before retiring in 1990.
He is the author of the commentary for the Joy of Living studies of Nehemiah, Job, Psalms of Faith, Psalms from the Heart, Prophecy in the Book of Daniel, Highlights of the Old Testament, Gospel of Mark, Acts, Romans, Ephesians, and Revelation.
Ray and his wife Elaine were blessed with 4 daughters and 11 grandchildren. Ray went home to be with the Lord in 1992.
Nancy J. Collins is the author of the Joy of Living study of Genesis, and of The Joy of Knowing, the first title in the new series, Finding Joy! She has also written the commentary for the Joy of Living studies of Judges & Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, and 1 Kings; the study questions for over ten Joy of Living courses; and three Joy of Living pre-school studies. She co-authored the Leadership Training Guide, and has edited many of the Joy of Living courses.
Nancy has been a speaker and Bible teacher for over 30 years, ministering to both children and adults, and is the presenter of the Joy of Living training video, Planning & Leading a Bible Study.
Nancy holds a Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies. She and her husband, Chuck, live in Southern California. They have 7 adult children.
