Louis R. Caplan, M.D. is a Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and Chief of the Stroke Service at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He serves on the editorial boards of a dozen leading neurology journals and has published numerous books and articles on the topic of stroke, including Striking Back at Stroke: A Doctor-Patient Journal (Dana Press, 2003).
