About the Author

Holly Duckworth is director of Six Sigma for Kaiser Aluminum. With over 20 years experience in aerospace and automotive manufacturing, Holly has completed and mentored dozens of Black Belt projects, concerning both manufacturing and office process improvements. Holly mentors and instructs Black Belts and Green Belts in the Six Sigma tools, training techniques, and influence strategies, with over 2,000 hours as a classroom instructor. Her background includes a decade as an Operations Manager and Quality Manager, as well as years as a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and Customer Service Representative. She is an ASQ Certified Quality Manager and ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Jeffrey Jenkins is a certified Black Belt with TRW Automotive, located at their Mesa, Arizona, Occupant Safety Systems manufacturing facility. He has over 16 years of automotive manufacturing experience with TRW Automotive, a major tier-one automotive supplier. He has over 6 years experience in supervision and 8 years working in Information Technology. He has managed and mentored many Green Belt and Black Belt projects as a certified Black Belt, and has experience with projects that are both manufacturing and transactional. Jeff has logged more than 800 hours of classroom instruction in the methodology of Six Sigma to over 300 Green Belts. Joanne Voordeckers is a continuous improvement professional with a career that spans thirty years in the automotive, aerospace, and building product industries. Joanne has completed and mentored many Black Belt, Green Belt, and Lean projects, including those of a manufacturing and transactional nature.
