About the Author

Dean Keppler is the Director of DRF Press for Daily Racing Form. He has over 25 years experience handicapping both Thoroughbred and harness racing. Keppler was the 2005 winner of the Freehold Raceway Thoroughbred handicapping contest, and was the proud owner of a 2006 Easter Sunday $91,000 Pick Six ticket at Santa Anita Park. He has authored several books and articles on various subjects. He's also contributed to the DRF Learn to Play the Races fan guide, Winning Techniques, and was a part time freelance handicapper for the Saratoga Special this past summer. In the last six years, Keppler's been responsible for organizing and orchestrating the publishing of over 30 DRF Press book titles. He resides in Yonkers, New York, five minutes from the historic Yonkers Raceway now known as the new and improved Empire City.
