About the Author
Published posthumously; this edition is a tribute to the author Dwight R. Bishop, a Butte native, world-class athlete and Montana climbing legend. Dwight loved to climb, and train, as much as his time and health would allow. An avid ice climber and alpinist, Dwight was the first American to climb the "big three" north faces of Europe - the Eiger, Matterhorn and Grand Jorasses. He was the consummate "climber's climber."
