Synopsis

About the Author
Jane Heimlich s memoir Out of Step describes her growing up as the daughter of the famous dancing couple, Arthur and Kathryn Murray. Jane has written with humor, understanding, and beguiling forgiveness about a growing up that was never permitted to be ordinary, writes well-known author Stephen Birmingham.
Jane is also the author of two popular books on alternative medicine: What Your Doctor Won t Tell You: The Complete Guide to the Latest in Alternative Medicine (HarperCollins, 1990) was deemed a real treasure chest full of medicine s best kept secrets by Canada s Health Action Network Society. The how-to-guide Homeopathic Medicine at Home (J. P. Tarcher, Inc., 1980) is published in Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, India and Israel and continues to sell all over the world.
From 1991 to 1996, Jane was Associate Editor of Dr. Julian Whitaker s Health & Healing (Phillips Publishing, Inc.), a national newsletter with one half million subscribers.
Jane lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, with her husband Henry J. Heimlich, M.D., the internationally known inventor of The Heimlich Maneuver.
