Santa's Night Before Christmas -"One Christmas Eve it was a cold stormy night; and nothing at the north pole was going quite right..." Santa's (Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right!)Night Before Christmas is a whimsical tale of Santa's journey through a Christmas Eve that doesn't go as he expects. One small event leads to a series of surprises that change Santa and Christmas as we know it. It's a story to spark the imagination, make kids giggle, and bring a smile even to a grownup's face.

"Santa's (Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right) Night Before Christmas" is a funny Christmas story with a new twist: everything is just a little bit off on this particular (dark, stormy) Christmas Eve for Santa. To begin with, Santa had to do his own laundry because Mrs. Claus was sick. Due to a comedy of errors, Santa ended up with a suit of a different color: purple! There follows a tangled trail of hilarious examples of odd changes that ensued because of the unexpected purple hue of Santa's suit. The elves became trolls, growing to 7 feet tall! The Christmas tree became brown and orange instead of green and brown, the milk and cookies became tea and honey! Everything was just a bit off! Even the reindeer turned a sickly blueberry blue and had extremely strange, funny changed names! The snow fell pink and the candy canes were black and white! Everything was just not right! Santa cried, "Christmas is ruined and it's all of my fault! This new purple suit brought it all to a halt! " Just when things seemed most bleak, Santa heard the snowman alarm go off by his bed, and guess what? It was all a very strange dream! How reassuringly normal everything was, from his clean red suit, washed by Mrs. Claus, to the elves, the sleigh and the darling brown reindeer. As Santa prepared to go off with joy to deliver his toys, he kissed Mrs. Claus and whispered, "From now on, dear, you wash the clothes." The moral, of course, is, to keep Christmas merry and dear, Santa should stick to the things that he knows, and should not be allowed to wash his own clothes!" "Santa's (Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right) Night Before Christmas" is a delightful children's story about learning to appreciate the usual things properly by experiencing them with strange alterations. Humor abounds in this good natured Christmas tale, which also has a hidden moral: Even making mistakes can have a golden lining. The wacky verse with color highlighted text and silly illustrations will delight and intrigue young readers -- Holiday Shelf: --The Midwest Book Review: Children's Bookwatch
Great holiday read: Santa s (Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right!) Night Before Christmas My toddler loves books! Story time is a part of our nightly routine and as a parent you know reading the same old book over and over is mind-numbing. I love that he has favorites but after reading the same story night after night my husband and I find ourselves tucking away some of those stories that we just can t take anymore. Every new book to our son s growing collection is a welcome change! When I received a copy of Santa s (Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right!) Night Before Christmas I was immediately impressed with the cute cover, beautiful illustrations and nice heavy and glossy card stock the pages were printed on. I set it aside for a few days thinking August is pretty early to break out the Christmas stories, but after reading Easton s favorite three Sesame Street books for the fifth night in a row, I totally caved and said, Easton, instead of Burt and Ernie would you like to read a new Santa book?! He immediately perked right up, tossed the other books aside and agreed. I ran out to the growing stack of stuff on the table, un-buried the book and cuddled up with my almost three-year-old to read about Santa s (Zany, Wacky, Just Not Right!) Night Before Christmas . We both LOVED it! What a cute story. We followed Santa s silly adventure of the Christmas Eve where everything went wrong. From a purple Santa suit, to upside down Christmas trees and wacky reindeer we found ourselves giggling quite a bit. Easton actually made me re-read the wacky reindeer names page about seven times... ----WOTV 4 Women
