Kimm Groshong has been fascinated by science since kindergarten when she learned about dinosaur fossils and caterpillars metamorphose. She was at Pomona College, researching in an organic chemistry lab, when she realized that she really enjoyed writing about science. She wanted to share the excitement and importance of scientific research with others. That led her to earn a master in science journalism at Boston University's Knight Center for Science and Medical Journalism. Since then she's been lucky enough to be a science writer for The Pasadena Star-News, NewScientist.com, and the California Science Center.
