About the Author

Lisa Carter, Ed.S., received her baccalaureate in early childhood education and masters degrees in early childhood education and school administration, all from East Carolina University. Lisa began her career as an elementary school teacher in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She has served as an administrator at both the elementary and secondary levels, and has worked in rural and urban schools. In recent years, Lisa also helped to establish and served as executive director for the Mayerson Academy for Human Resource Development in Cincinnati, Ohio, recognized for its outstanding work in the professional development of teachers and administrators. She is a noted presenter, keynote speaker, author, and consultant.
