Melvin Eugene Baxter is convinced that his new teacher, Miss Martin, is a martian. It is his mission to stop her before she takes over the planet. About the Author
Colleen Murray Fisher has won the Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association's Children's Picture Book Award and a Notable Book Award for Miss Martin is a Martian. Colleen also wrote and illustrated a children's book entitled, The One and Only Bernadette P. McMullen which is a USA Best Book Finalist. Colleen has illustrated three other childrens books which have won three Mom's Choice Awards, two Purple Dragonfly Awards, and two Young Voices Foundation Awards. She has a master's degree from Michigan State University, and she is an elementary teacher with Livonia Public Schools. Colleen lives in White Lake, Michigan with her husband, Jason, and their two children, Sofie and Sam.
