Claudreen Jackson thought she finally had it all. She was the wife of successful musician, Pervis Jackson of the Spinners, she had three beautiful children, and a whirlwind of socializing kept her busy and fulfilled.

When Claudreen found out she was pregnant again, she was overjoyed, knowing that she and her husband would finally have the time and resources to give a child everything he needs and desires. Her dreams were shattered, however, when about a year and a half after her con's birth, his behavior began to digress until eventually, doctors began to use words like autism and no cure. Terrified that not only would her baby never be normal, she was also secretly terrified that she might not ever be able love him as she would a normal child...

Inspired By Autism, is one mother's touching, brutally honest look at the depression, heartbreak and frustration of a parent living with an autistic child-it is also an inspiring, heroic testament to the love and acceptance of a mother who has given her child's special needs over to God, becoming an unflinching advocate for families of children with disabilities and a resource for all parents of disabled children. She wants these parents to know, they are not alone.

Review:
Pervis would have loved to see this book and we support Claudreen in her efforts just as Pervis did. He loved and accepted PJ and was very pride of him. --Bobbie Smith, of the Spinners

Pervis always supported the cause of people with autism. We learned about autism because of Pervice and PJ and we did a beenefit for Autism Society of Ameica in 1992. Pervis was very accepting and always proud of PJ. He was the foundation of this book. --Henry Fambrough, of the Spinners

Almost any book that any parent has written about their kids with autism portrayed it as something that is overcome by dedicated, smart and loving parents, leaving the impression that if the rest of us had tried as hard, our children would be 'cured' to... I am glad to read about the other side of the situation. --Dianne McClung, Parent of adult son with autism
