About the Author

For the last 23 years Iain Miskimmin has been working in the infrastructure industry with involvement in some of the top capital projects around the world. Using his skills as a business analyst, facilitator and presenter, he has become a trusted advisor to industry helping organisations on their digital journey. Having been invited to be a part of the U.K. government’s BIM Task Group and one of the founders of the Crossrail Information Management Academy, he had the opportunity to work with both client and delivery partners, while they grappled with delivering their digital strategies in relation to meeting the 2016 UK BIM Level 2 mandate. He pioneered methodologies around how to define asset information requirements and the seven questions you have read about in this book. The lessons he learnt in the academy from Crossrail and the many visitors who came from around the world formed the basis of the award-winning Digital Advancement Academy which delivers knowledge sharing on a global level. His passion to always push new ways of looking at BIM has led to many initiatives in insurance, finance and legal that will form a firm foundation for digital advancement for any organisation.
