Volume 5 of the epic horror story based on the universe of H.P. Lovecraft pitting some of his most famous creations against each other.
The Apolcalypse is upon us! Since the beginning of the FALL OF CTHULHU storyline, readers have been anxiously awaiting the moment when all the tale's threads begin to tie together into the ultimate war between gods and men. As of now, they wait no longer. Let the Apolcalypse begin!

Fall of Cthulhu began so well (see The Fugue, 2008) that it’s been hard to see it become more tedious with each succeeding story arc. This volume concludes the conflict among the old gods of H. P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu mythos and between them and the forces of the Dreamlands led by the Harlot, a most more memorable new horror-comics creation. After that, the larger Fall continuum retreats 11,000 years to a rather fascistic-looking Atlantis, where the next arc will commence. Could be time to bail, though Santolouco is back from the third arc, The Gray Man (2008), to make this installment look eldritchly alluring, indeed, rather like a slicker Hellboy. --Ray Olson
