The usual doggies, sheep, and elephants wearing clothes - but this volume, collecting issues #9-14 of the comic, focuses around Nicole Georges’ long term relationship. It begins, blossoms, and then falls apart - as she sails solo on the ocean, pictorally speaking. The first Invincible Summer character to use a real name goes from hero to villain in these 5 issues. We're also treated to the usual vegan recipes, priceless moments, friendships, humor, fashion, and heart from this rad Portland lady.

Nicole J. Georges is a zinester, illustrator, and pet portrait artist. She has been publishing her own zines and autobiographical comics for more than 14 years, the most recent of which Invincible Summer, and teaches self-publishing and autobiographical comic workshops to children and seniors. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
"Her drawings are so charming and likable, so endearingly self-effacing, that following her life is an easy pleasure. We watch as Georges cobbles together a livelihood as an artist, bops around Portland (which she depicts as a lo-fi version of The L Word) with her gal pals, and tries to be a dependable friend, a loyal girlfriend, a loving and attentive dog owner, and, eventually, a responsible homeowner. In black-and-white ink, Georges draws her world as fun, amusingly chaotic, and inspiring—not at all a bad place to be." —Bust
"Nicole does it again... diary comics filled with the love of animals, band antics, dating, everyday occurrences, minor traumas and some of my favorite drawings ever. It’s not all straight diary comics... Nicole throws in “Advice for Fat Girls who Thrift Shop’, an ‘Ask Nicole’ sassy advice column, a recipe for pumpkin cheesecake, a description of ‘The Points Game’ and more fun than you can shake a stick at. By the end of this pretty pink-covered book you will be bowing down to the gal with the finest beehive hairdo around." —Xerography Dept.
"Basically, this second collection of her long-running comic zine is more or less about her day-to-day activities, which somehow make the extremely mundane and typical feel entertaining. I mean, I’m not sure how numerous repeats of ‘made breakfast, went to work, hung out with friends, made a joke, played with dog’ became a real page turner for me. It just did. It’s not all boring though. There are a couple of tour diaries (both with a band, as part of the Sister Spit reading tour) that proved to be engaging and full of excitement." —Hanging Like A Hex
