About the Author

Liz Palika is an award-winning writer who specializes in the topics of dogs, cats, and other pets. She is a Certified Dog Trainer and a Certified Behavioral Consultant living in California.

Jennifer Fearing is chief economist for The Humane Society of the United States, in Washington, D.C. In 2003 she left a consulting career to devote herself full-time to celebrating animals and confronting cruelty. She has been cited as an expert on dog-friendly workplaces in the Christian Science Monitor, the Colorado Springs Gazette, and the Washington Post.
