About the Author:
Sherri Watson was born and raised in the small town of Cyril, Oklahoma, where old-fashioned values and love abounded. Most of her youth was spent on a tractor or climbing haystacks in the huge barn. The devoted mother of two wonderful boys, Brandon and Bradon, Sherri exercised her huge capacity to love as she raised kids, puppies, foals, and calves alongside the love of her life, her late husband Gary. Shortly after Gary was killed in an accident, the family Border collies, Lexi and Sam, also passed away. Not wanting Gary's or Sam and Lexi's legacy to die with them, Sherri set out to write a story about the daughter of her much-loved collies—Fay.Paula Abney was born in North Georgia. Her youth was spent on the back of a horse exploring the countryside with a good dog at her heels, which continued after she became the mother of two daughters, Mecca and Jessie. An avid outdoor person and dog lover, Paula felt an intense desire to "give something back," and after a chance meeting with Sherri and the adoption of Fay, she transitioned easily into search and rescue work.
