Scott Jost, Associate Professor of Art at Bridgewater College, is the author of Blacks Run: An American Stream and a contributing photographer to The Great Valley Road of Virginia: Shenandoah Landscapes from Prehistory to the Present (Virginia). Scott Hamilton Suter, Associate Professor of English and American Studies at Bridgewater College, lives in Spring Creek, Virginia.

The photos are beautiful. Jost captures the striking contrasts between the gnarly trees in bloom and the green slopes of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
