This resulted in a roller coaster ride of sex, drugs, celebrity, and rock and roll. Along the way it formed a legend who did it all. About the Author
Mitch Ryder is a legendary musician, songwriter, and performer. Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels reached Billboard chart fame in 1965 with " Jenny Take a Ride" and in 1966 with "Little Latin Lupe Lu" and with the Top Five smash "Devil with a Blue Dress On/Good Golly Miss Molly." In 1967 "Sock It To Me Baby" reached the Top Four before Ryder split from the band to pursue a solo career. Touring steadily, Ryder has released 27 CDs and counting, retaining a fan following largely in Europe particularly Germany. Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels were inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame in 2005. "Devil with a Blue Dress On/Good Golly, Miss Molly" was voted a Legendary Michigan Song in 2008. In 2009, Ryder was inducted into the Hall of Fame a second time in recognition of his long career as a solo artist. He currently lives with his wife, Megan, in Michigan.

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. 1st printing of the first American hardcover edition of the singer/songwriter's autobiography SIGNED by Ryder on the front free end paper with a black marker for "Judy, All my love". Black paper boards and binding with white end papers and gold titles along the spine and front cover. The autobiography of the front man for The Detroit Wheels. A tight copy with sharp corners. There are fewer than 20 non-consecutive pages in the first half of the text with a top corner that is softy turned. And there is what appears to be two small food stains on the final free end paper. The black jacket has crisp edges and it is not priced. Removal of stickers from the bottom section of the back panel and heel of the jacket's spine has replaced the original gummy surface with a shiny surface. The front panel bears a sticker that reads Signed by the Author. Over-sized hardcover, profusely illustrated with three appendices that include reminiscences of musicians he's known, countries he's visited, his discography and an index.
