Clayton Klein lives on a farm near Fowlerville, Michigan, in the house where he was born in 1919. He is a part of the Fowlerville business community, having founded the Klein Fertilzer Company in 1951. He served as its general manager and president for thirty years. He is a member of the American Canoe Association, the Airplane Owners and Pilots Association, the Audubon Society, as well as several other groups and organizations.
